Career History

Dave DeLuca has presented literally thousands of workshops, classes, and trainings on all aspects of personal growth during his twenty years as a professional seminar leader. He started his career as a trainer for The Summit Organization, a multi-million dollar personal development company. During his thirteen years at Summit he led over 20 different courses on an ongoing basis such as Self Esteem, The Power Of Purpose, Decision Making And Effective Choice, Quality Communications, and Life Designs. He went from leading Summit’s introductory weekend seminar, The Power Of Positive Feelings, to writing and leading week-long workshops at their Hawaii and San Diego resort facilities. One of these was his signature workshop, Healing Family Relationships, which he led for Summit on a regular basis for years in Hawaii.

In 1993, Dave founded Empowerment Systems and began concentrating on writing and presenting new seminars that reflected his increasing focus on his spiritual journey. The results were such courses as Bringing Your Spirit To Life, Self-Esteem As Soul Work, Learning To Love, Finding And Living Your Higher Purpose, and Loving The Path. It was also during this time that Dave became devoted to the study of the major religions of the world.

In 1995, his passion for greater spiritual understanding led him to the Vedanta Society of Southern California, where he began his study of Indian philosophy with the Swamis of the venerated Ramakrishna Order of India. There he became a student of Vedanta, the philosophy of Oneness first proclaimed to the world in the ancient Upanishads, and a practitioner of the original scriptural Yoga pathways to Oneness taught in the Bhagavad Gita and the Yoga Sutras.

Since 1999, Dave has been an ongoing speaker at the Vedanta Society temples throughout Southern California. He was initiated by Swami Swahananda, one of the most revered monks of the Ramakrishna Order, whose guru was a direct disciple of Sri Ramakrishna. Swami Swahananda had this to say about Dave:

Since 2000, Dave has been teaching classes, presenting seminars, leading Sunday Services, and giving keynote addresses on the spiritual treasures of ancient India to Unity, Science of Mind, Unitarian, and other like-minded churches and learning centers all over America and Canada. In 2003, with the blessings of the Ramakrishna Order, he compiled and edited the yoga teachings of the great Swami Vivekananda into his Vivekananda: Lessons In Classical Yoga, which in 2006 was re-published by Inner Ocean Publishing as Pathways To Joy.

In 2004, Dave spoke on the spiritual power of Indian Philosophy and its impact on New Thought at the Parliament of the World’s Religions in Barcelona, Spain, and was a keynote speaker at the Religious Science International Ministers Conference in Vancouver, Canada. In 2005, he was a featured speaker at thge United Church of Religious Science Eastern Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, and at the Religious Science International Asilomar Conference in Pacific Grove, California. And this year, 2006, he is scheduled to be a featured speaker at the renowned Big Sky Retreat in Montana, and the presenter of Hinduism at Common Ground: Celebrating Five of the World's Religions retreat at Unity Village.

During his years of teaching, Dave has helped many thousands of people live with greater love, purpose, and joy in their lives.
