Bringing Ageless Wisdom to the Modern Seeker

Hello and thank you for visiting davedeluca.com. While I have been a professional seminar leader now for over 20 years, for the last 10 years I have been a passionate student, lover, and teacher of Vedanta, the ancient wisdom of India that first taught humanity the wisdom of Oneness, the divinity of the soul, and the sacred yoga pathways to the One. The Vedanta philosophy is not only the oldest and most comprehensive living corpus of Oneness wisdom, but it offers the modern seeker an amazing variety of time-tested methods for spiritual growth, and a spiritual psychology breathtaking in its depth, originality, universality, and transformational power. It is the wisdom that created the first Western wave of new thought in 18th and 19th century Europe through such greats as Voltaire, Schopenhauer, Carlyle, Cousin, Schlegel, and Goethe. And it is the Oneness wisdom that has most profoundly influenced the spiritual foundations of New Thought in America these last 200 years.

It was an honor to speak about that connection at the 2004 Parliament of World Religions in Barcelona, Spain, and to have been invited into so many New Thought churches across America and Canada to speak on Vedanta's scriptural treasures and time-tested spiritual practices. It has also been a great joy to watch students of New Thought delight in their spiritual heritage, seeing their beliefs confirmed and strengthened in such exquisite ways by humanity's oldest extant religion. And it has been a true blessing in my life to have come to love so many of the ministers and members of the vitally important New Thought movement.

Over the last years I have done what I can to bring a greater awareness of these great spiritual treasures to the West, serving as one of many in the continuation of the work first begun by the blessed Swami Vivekananda, the great 19th century saint who was the first Indian holy man to bring India's sacred wisdom to the West at large at the 1893 Parliament of Religions in Chicago. One hundred years after his death he has taken his rightful place as one of the most important and beloved Vedantic teachers in all of India's illustrious history. It is with the blessings of the venerated Ramakrishna Order of India that I have compiled Vivekananda's most powerful teachings on Oneness and the Classical Yoga pathways to Oneness into Pathways To Joy: The Master Vivekananda on the Four Yoga Paths to God. I have posted some selections from the book on this site so that you can see for yourself why Vivekananda and his teachings are so revered. I have also posted testimonials by some world figures and eyewitnesses attesting to the astounding impact that Vivekananda and his teachings have had upon the world.
